With it's origins going back some 500 years, our 50-year calendar is a variation of a perpetual calendar from a time when 50 years was akin to perpetual!
The purpose of the calendar was to allow the calculation of the day of the week for a given date in the future (in this case 50 years). It is designed in a way that by simply turning the dial to place the name of the month under the current year, one can deduce the day of the week or the date up to 50 years into the future.
The 50-Year Calendar is made out of brass and is housed in a jade-stone disc. The size and weight make it a perfect desk accessory or paper weight!
Size: and weighs approximately 0.23 kg (0.51 lbs) with a diamater of approximately 9.5 cm (3.74 inches).
