With a background in art, game design, and creative technology, she builds immersive, story-rich objects - swirling potions, wearable creatures, dragon eggs, and other enchanted relics that feel like they’ve wandered out of a well-loved fantasy novel. Working with reclaimed and upcycled materials, Brittney combines sculpture, resin casting, and detailed finishing to bring each piece to life. Her love of prop-making was sparked in part by Stratford Theatre’s Summer Prop Program, where she deepened her passion for bringing fantasy into the physical world. Based in Ottawa, Brittney creates magic you can hold for anyone looking to add a bit of whimsy to their everyday.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHeather Castles is the artist behind Upcycled Vintage Art, where she subtly paints pop culture elements into forgotten artwork. Heather’s background in children book illustration adds nostalgic storytelling to her art as she captures quiet moments from fantasy and science fiction stories. From sourcing artwork to shipping, every step of her process is rooted in using vintage, repurposed, or recyclable materials.
