Nikita Gill provides a much-needed update to the dated tropes of famous fairytales in Fierce Fairytales.

Using prose and poetry, Gill re-imagines the traditions behind popular stories.  In her works, women are not damsels waiting to be rescued, lines between "good" and "evil" become blurred, and your favourite characters are modernized and empowered.

Throughout the book, inspirational writing is also punctuated with Gill's own hand-drawn illustrations, evoking additional depth and emotion in a different format.
