Samhain: An Evening of Haunting Irish Folktales with Brian Walsh

$25.00

Date: Thursday, October 8th, 2026
Time: 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Ages:15+

Before Halloween and All Hallows’ Eve, there was Samhain - the ancient Gaelic festival marking the New Year, the beginning of winter, and the feast of the dead.

It was a night when the boundary between worlds grew thin, when ghosts, spirits, and strange creatures were said to wander, and the unexpected could happen after dark.

Join renowned Irish storyteller Brian Walsh, “do scéalaí ceanadach le scéalta éireannacha - your Canadian Teller of Irish Tales”, for an evening of myths and folktales inspired by this strangest and most mysterious of nights.

Settle in and listen as Brian brings to life old tales of spirits, monsters, magic, and ancient traditions, where strange things stir in the shadows and not every story stays safely in the past.

Content Warning: This event contains mature content and is not intended for young children or the faint of heart, recommended 15+.
