From crisp autumn mornings to candlelit winter nights, our Mulling Spices bring warmth, comfort, and a touch of tradition to any moment.

Whether you're simmering cider, steeping wine, or crafting a fragrant syrup, these cozy recipes are some of our favourite ways to fill the season with spice and memory. There are endless ways to enjoy them, but these are a few of the ones we love most.

Mulled Cider (Non-Alcoholic):

In a saucepan, combine 4 cups (1L) of apple cider with 2–3 tablespoons of Curiosa Mulling Spices. Bring to a gentle simmer over low heat, taking care not to boil. Let it simmer uncovered for 15–20 minutes, allowing the spices to fully infuse.

Strain and serve warm, garnished with a slice of orange or a cinnamon stick if desired. Perfect for chilly afternoons or a cozy evening by the fire.

Mulled Wine:

In a saucepan, combine 1 bottle of red wine (about 3¾ cups) with ¼ cup of sugar and 2–3 tablespoons of Curiosa Mulling Spices. Add a few slices of fresh orange (with peel) and, if you wish, a splash of brandy for extra warmth.

Bring just to a simmer over low heat and let it gently mull for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not allow it to boil. Strain and serve warm in heatproof glasses or mugs, garnished with a slice of orange.

Mulled Cranberry Punch (Non-Alcoholic):

In a saucepan, combine 3 cups of cranberry juice with 1 cup of apple juice or orange juice, then add 2–3 tablespoons of Curiosa Mulling Spices. Toss in a few slices of fresh orange for extra brightness and a touch of natural sweetness.

Bring to a gentle simmer over low heat and let it mull for 15–20 minutes, allowing the spices and fruit to infuse fully. Strain and serve warm. This ruby-red punch is perfect for family-friendly sipping and festive gatherings.

Mulled Pear Punch (Non-Alcoholic):

In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of pear juice, 1 cup of apple cider, and 1 cup of water. Add 2–3 tablespoons of Curiosa Mulling Spices along with a few thin slices of fresh pear or apple.

Bring to a gentle simmer over low heat and let it mull uncovered for 15–20 minutes, allowing the fruit and spices to mingle. Strain and serve warm, garnished with a pear slice or star anise pod. A soft, golden cup perfect for autumn brunches or winding down on misty evenings.

Mulled Spice Simple Syrup:

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of Curiosa Mulling Spices. Bring to a low simmer and let it gently bubble for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally to help the sugar dissolve and the spices infuse.

Strain and let cool before storing in a jar or bottle. Use it to sweeten cocktails, lattes, teas, pancakes, or drizzle it over cakes, roasted fruit, or even oatmeal. A bottle of this syrup also makes a lovely handmade gift.
