$25.00
Date: Thursday, June 4th, 2026
Time: 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Ages: 15+
In no other century was poison more feared, more prevalent, or more often employed to do away with unwanted spouses, employers, rich relatives, or inconvenient liaisons than the 1800s.
Join K. K. Cathers of a Curiosity of Crime for a journey back to when poison was found in every kitchen cupboard, bedside table, and medicine cabinet. Come for tales of Victorian poisoners and their victims and the murders cases that shook the foundation of Victorian society. Hear the tales which created the Victorian obsession with poison, those who employed it, and a legal system which didn’t always see the value in prosecuting the culprits.
Poison was both a fascination and a fear in the 1800s so whether your curiosity is with the macabre, the mythology of poison, or the dastardly deeds to which it was put to use, the evening will entertain your darker side.
Best suited for ages 15 and up. Seats are limited - secure yours, lest you find yourself… among the unfortunate.
