Where the Dragonflies Gather: A Paint-Along with Annie Parkes
$80.00
Date: Thursday, May 28th 2026
Time: 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Ages: 15+
There are places that feel suspended in time, where the air is thick with stillness and something unspoken lingers just beneath the surface.
In this darkly whimsical paint-along, join artist Annie Parkes as she guides you through the creation of a mysterious and beautiful pond scene - tall reeds reaching skyward, dragonflies hovering in quiet rhythm, and a darkening sky that hints at an approaching storm.
With Annie’s gentle, step-by-step instruction, you’ll explore layering, texture, and mood, learning how to bring depth and movement to your work while embracing the quiet drama of the scene. Whether you’re new to painting or returning to it, this workshop is designed to be both approachable and immersive.
We’ll gather in the Common Room for an evening of creativity and connection - surrounded by others who share a love for art, atmosphere, and a touch of the mysterious. All supplies are included and you will leave with a framed version of your finished piece, and perhaps a sense of having stepped, just briefly, into another world.
